Warwick Allan is die eienaar, hoof redigeerder en kleur versorger by Mushroom Media. In 2004 het hy gegradueer aan die Universiteit van Johannesburg met ‘n honeurs in BCom Bemarkingskommunikasie en Mushroom Media begin. Hy het ondervinding in die filmbedryf opgebou deur vryskut redigering, aanlyn redigering en kleur versorging te doen vir vele groot produksiehuise en na-produksie fasiliteite, onder andere Curios Pictures (nou Quizzical). Mushroom Media het hul dienste uitgebrei deur om musiekvideos en lewendige konsert DVDs te vervaardig vir die plaaslike bedryf, waarvan die regie en redigering deur Warwick behartig was. ‘n Hoogtepunt van hierdie fase was die algehele produksie en na-produksie van twee van Lira se lewendige konsert DVDs wat SAMA toekennings ontvang het. Die mees onlangse wat gespog het met ‘n multi-kamera verfilming met meer as 23 kamera. Warwick het daarin geslaag om sy een-man maatskappy in ‘n gerespekteerde en betroubare na-produksiehuis te verander. In 2010 was Warwick benoem as een van Mail & Guardian se 200 Jong Suid-Afrikaners vir sy innovering in die konsert film en musiek video bedryf. In 2013 was Mushroom Media geselekteer as ‘n Guinness Book of Records finalis vir die kategorie fastest film ever made vir die voltooing van die vollengte film Shotgun Garfunkel in 11 dae. Thina Sobabili, die amptelike inskrywing vir Suid-Afrika vir die Oscars in die foreign language afdeling vir 2013, se na-produksie was behartig deur Mushroom Media. In 2016 was Warwick en Mushroom Media toevertrou met die visuele na-produksie van die Cannes Quinzaine South African Factory se kortfilms. Sy klem op kwaliteit en kreatiwiteit beteken dat al sy projekte van die hoogste gehalte is.

Warwick Allan is owner, lead editor and colour grading artist at Mushroom Media. He graduated with a BCom honours in Marketing Communication from RAU (now UJ) in 2004 and started Mushroom Media the same year. He built up experience in the film industry as a freelance editor/online editor/ colourist working for many established production & post-production companies such as Curious Pictures (now Quizzical) on TV series, documentaries and commercials. Mushroom Media expanded its scope and began producing music videos and live concert DVDs for the local industry, directed and edited by Warwick. A highlight of this phase was the complete production and post-production for two of Lira’s SAMA winning live concert DVDs. The most recent of which boasted a multi-camera shoot of over 23 cameras. Warwick has steadily grown his company from a one man operation into a respected and trustworthy post-house in the South African film industry. Warwick was named as one of the Mail & Guardian’s 200 Young South Africans of 2010 for his innovation in the concert film and music video industry. In 2013 Mushroom Media was selected as the post-production company that serviced the Guinness book of records attempt for the “fastest film ever made” and was awarded this for the completion of the feature film called Shotgun Garfunkel in under 11 days (script to screen). Soon after that Thina Sobabili the official Oscar entrant for South Africa in the foreign language category was post-produced from offline to final delivery by Mushroom Media. More recently in 2016 Warwick & Mushroom Media were entrusted with the visual post-production finishing of the Cannes Quinzaine South Africa Factory short films. His emphasis on quality and creativity means that the countless deliverables to cinema & broadcast channels are scrutinized to the highest levels.
